Reactivating Facebook for a technophobe friend
9 Answers
I'm currently trying to reactivate a friends Facebook page after he managed to deactivate it. He's completely PC illiterate, it seems, and this has been very testing. Essentially, he doesn't know his username, and he doesn't know the email address or mobile phone numbers associated with his page. I've been through the process of getting codes from three of his friends, but have reached a dead end due to the lack of a username. Is this the end of the road or can someone help? Cheers.

I'd suggest he contacts FB himself and explains the position - they might not give the information to you as a third party.

Unless your friend has a specific learning disability, I'd suggest some tough love is needed.
As a responsible adult they need to take control of their basics - email address, usernames, passwords.
In my experience of working with adult learners the situation you describe is typical of someone who basically can't be bothered, and is very happy for other people to run round like blue rsed flies sorting out what they need to do.
