baths - why ???

I'm away for a day or two - and the cottage doesn't have a shower - only a (smallish) bath - mainly because the ceilings are too low.

I hate bl**dy baths - they are just not 'fit for purpose' - sitting around in a puddle of your own grot just doesn't seem a sensible way to get clean.

Being so big (oooh matron) it boils down to 'washing by instalments' and a most unsatisfying experience.

I can see the point of relaxing in a big tub after I've had a shower to get clean - especially if I can coax someone to join me - but for routine ablutions I can't wait to get home to my walk-in shower.

I HATE baths. I have lived here since October 2009, and never yet used the bath (apart from when I am dying my hair and I use the shower thingymyjob to rinse off the dye).

I don't even have a bath where I live now... and even if I did I wouldn't use it. last time I had a bath was when my power shower broke in the last place I lived and all that done was confirmed I don't fit in most baths.

morning shower for speedy bodywash and hairwash; good long night-time soak in the bath for relaxation!

My OH is opposite to what Mamy said. He has a manual job and gets very dirty. He likes a really hot bath, half to relax, half to dissolve dirt, then has a shower to wash. Having a shower over the bath is handy for this.
