MM Links Results September 2012 Week 1

I'm running a little late tonight because of computer problems with my laptop which has a full hard-drive. That meant I had to switch to my desktop which didn't have all the required files for scoring.

Anyway - all done now and I can reveal that Fordward's selected links were:

SPIT FIRE (He said he was in the RAF during he war)
FORK LIFT (He said he worked on a farm, but I too would have gone for 'pitch'
COLD FRAME (He said he did gardening)
COACH TRIP (He said he liked to travel - those who suggested 'coach tour' were close, so very close.

So this week there were hints in the preamble to the game (that only sometimes happens).

So who found what? See below.

For once the sprint starters failed to find a link.

It was player #8, Manxiemo, who found the first link of FORK LIFT (2 points). This link was largely ignored in the early stages but was matched by 7 players for single points later in the game.

At 9:06, Player #14, beejay 1124, rememberd the wartime SPIT FIRE planes for 2 points. All weekend, that was only matched by Twix for a single.


At 9:15, the remaining two links fell to the Albaqwertys. Mrs A opted for COACH TRIP while Mr A opted for COLD FRAME. I think there wil be harmony in the Alberqwerty household this evening.
Both attracted two furthe players for single points.


There were THREE double-hitters this week, though down amongst the single points. Handbaglady, Rockfordill and Paulineward therefore all equally qualify for HOTSHOT OF THE WEEK

Excuse me, Gen2, but having mentioned me right at the beginning as being the first person to get 2 points, no further mention is made of me in the list. Is this an oversight on your part, or have I got it wrong??

Sorry ManxieMo but sadly I have to report that you scored ZERO points.

In my rush to catch up after my problems with the laptop, my eyes went squint and the two points belonged to deecee131 who was indeed the 8th player.
