You must have been carrying a lot of fat internally. It is very healthy that you have lost this, albeit frustrating. You might try some tummy specific exercises. But be careful to balance these with back exercises. many woman concentrate on the tummy only to end up with back problems when the muscles pull the spine out of alignment.

Well done for losing the weight. Do listen to what ann has said and do all round exercises not just stomach. You probably have changed but as it's gradual you don't really notice the difference same as you didn't when you put the weight on

I have the same problem Redhead. No matter how much weight I lose my stomach always seems to stay big. I'm just under 10st and I've still got 2 spare tyres round my belly. My stomach has always been big and I don't think that will ever change.
re cycling, I do a spin class and always told to 'engage' our tummy muscles and it is not only a spin class but an abs class so good suggestion. I would recommend cycling as it can quickly build core and back muscles - as muscle gain is one of the quicker ways to lose weight investing in muscle where there is little already can be considered the "low hanging fruit".
It's also good for avoiding back problems later in life.
I use a different site: dietbestplans.com. It even snyches with your smart phone to allow you to ewasily track calories burned and caloric intake (also has a chart showing healthy fat/sodium/potassium/etc levels). I've been using it about 2 1/2 weeks and have already dropped 8 pounds.
