I don't usually remember my dreams but had a really vivid dream last night of all things about a trolley bus.
Even with the driver putting the 'arms' back up on the overhead cables with a long pole.
Something I remember as a boy in London 60+ years ago but have only seen occasionally on old tv programmes since.
I wonder what makes us dream these sort of things?
submergred happy memories of a fond childhood.
i often have vivid dreams of a specific happy occasion from my three years living in malta as a child - 40 years ago, involving swimming with a dolphin th the open sea.

I always think it strange when your dreams take you back so far how does the brain store all these things or is it something you do during that day that triggers the brain to remember ?
I remember said trolley buses and the conductress at the Aldgate East terminus struggling with a long long pole to change the arms over for the return journey. Also remember the Woolwich trams my parents taking me to Woolwich [ foot passengers on the Woolwich Ferry] for a tram ride on the last week of the trams talk about "shake rattle & roll" shame they removed them would have been a great tourist attraction now.
Has anyone been on the new gondolas in East London across the Thames I dont suppose they are for free ?
