param error

when trying to post an answer to a thread , after pressing submit, my screen went white and above my answer the words param error appeared. My answer went through into latest posts on desk top but not on the laptop that I was using. Tried to resubmit and it went through with a time gap of 5 mins.
Any ideas ,in lay terms please, as I am not a young person.

Perhaps I've asked this in the wrong section. But I can only one finger type so rather than type it all over again could somebody please explain. Thankyou in anticipation.

just done it again only this time my post went onto latest posts but did not appear on Tilly 2 thread. Clicked on to latest post but my post was not there, Im beginning to think Tilly does not like me, not really.
