I have been using Chris Mart's site to help with the Radio Times crossword, but this week his grid is, for some reason, different from mine. My 9 down has an extra white square on the bottom row, making the answer plural for me. He has a black square. Is the answer singular or plural? Does anyone else have the same problem? I am intrigued!
My son does the same crossword, but he says his grid in the same as Chris Mart's. I wonder how many people have different grids, and why would that be? My inclination is to do what you suggest, as I really have no alternative. Thanks for your prompt reply.
My grid has the answer as being 4,9 letters .Considering the answer is an anagram of captains given ( cave paintings ) you need thirteen spaces which I have on my copy .
So if you enter on line the crossword grid will be online so margaretta should submit the completed on line version. So I don't see what the issue is- am I missing something?
Thanks, baldric. It's okay- i'm not doing the crossword; I'm just trying to understand what the issue is because I can't see one.. Anyway, I'll leave it now
I think the issue is 9d.
Chris Marts site gives 4 & 8 with spaces to match.
My Mag. gives 4 & 9 with spaces to match.
just makes a difference between singular or plural, doesn't affect any other clue.
I still don't see the issue- I'd just fill in what's in front of me. Perhaps we should we just leave it there as maybe we're talking at cross purposes. Thanks
