Ever felt stupid....................

I phoned the vet this morning to find the ins and out of a flea treatment for my cat and dog. Because they know me well, I well into full flow without introducing myself and explained that I had a flea problem and that Frontline wasn't working well and that I had heard there was a tablet that you could use instead.................... and so on and so on.

Long silence and then, "Well it sounds as if you need to talk to a vet - not the doctor" Mrs.....................

I had phoned the doctor in error and they know me well too unfortunately.

Funnily enough she then gave me the vets phone number.

Many years ago when we used to rescue birds, I took a poorly budgie to the vet.

I took the cover off the cage to find the budgie spinning round and round on the perch, looking decidedly fit and healthy.

The vet said, "Are you absolutely sure you've brought the right budgie?" (we had about a hundred at that time).

The vet was right - I'd picked up the wrong bird. What a twit. :o(
