hotmail problems
6 Answers
Last weekend my hotmail account was invaded, After spending 2 days cleaning out the computer I still could not get into my hotmail account. It kept saying I was using the wrong password when I knew I wasn't. On Monday I was able to access my account but everything was in Arabis instead of English, now it is all in Greek. I got in touch with Hotmail but they were no help at all. They wanted £199 to clean the computer but would not tell me how to get back to English and couldn't say if cleaning the system would help. Has anyone out there any ideas what I can try. I shall be closing my hotmail account after this as they did not provide the customer service I expected and infact were quite rude and dismisive when I said i didn't want to pay £199.

there are about 400 million users, so it won't all go perfectly. They're switching it over to something called Outlook, which looks more like Gmail; so now's probably as good a time as any to leave. Any email service could have similar problems, especially free ones (though actually they're pretty rare). Make sure your new account has a reasonably complicated password.
ive been with hotmail for five years and so far have never had any problems its a shame this has happened to you as its very rare, i hope you find a soloution soon, sorry i could not help more all i would say is close down our account and re open a new one as soon as possible as it sounds like there's a hacker on your account messing with it.
