Now that Clintons has closed down I can't seem to get an expensive birthday card for sister who will be celebrating 70th birthday. We don't like numbers on our cards. Just a nice card. Any ideas? TIA

I was gutted when Clinton closed :|

WH Smith is my go to for cards now... or Moonpig :)
no not moon pig! use funky pigeon it helps pay my wage! lol
Try bugart on line. Sounds awful but they do beautiful cards. I buy them at my local independent stationer but have found them on line. Really elegant. No numbers. Well worth a look.
Okay... Funky Pigeon is way better! Moon Pig is so last season!! :)
Moonpig
Best making your own card then you can personalize how you want, I find it difficult to find cards which are suitable for each occasion, birthday cards always seem to have drinks etc, tried to buy one for brother who doesn't drink all had remote cottages, boats, footballs, and naff verses, make your own, its great fun.
Hiya Connemmara,
I just read and replied to your wedding present post, and I've juse seen this one too.
In my other reply I wondered if one of my little personalised picture gifts would be suitable as a gift for the couple? And I didn't know if maybe I could do a special little something for your sisters birthday?
(In the link, there's a nice bouquet of flowers one that I did the other day, that might be nice personalised with 'Sister' on it, or her name?)
It was just a thought that's all, if you were still stuck what to get her :o) xx

By the way, the pictures are painted ON glass, so they have a nice texture to them, which is a bit different and nice for a prezzie..?
(Not sure if the link to the weddining painting over on your Wedding Present thread works as I can't seem to view it)

Thanks everybody for your very kind answers - much appreciated to going to all the trouble.
Have you looked at Marks and Spencers cards
All depends what you want to pay for a piece of thin card with a colourful design on the front

99p gets you a decent card at card factory

2 - 3 quid plus at some of the other outlets mentioned is overpriced

Some people just like to look at the cards brand name (hallmark?) on the back regardless of the quality/price
Hallmark do beautiful cards for all occasions.
Lots of personalised cards on eBay.
Hi Mrs C! How the devil?! Long time no see! :o)
Did you see my bits that I do? ;o)
Howdy Loooby! Sorry I missed you last night (had a very early night, been partying all weekend and sure needed it).

Your personalised picture gifts are absolutely lovely. You are one clever lass.
