Hoax deaths on twitter/facebook

it's a sad old world within cyber space, first Morgan Freeman and apparently now alfonso ribeiro (Carlton , Fresh Prince) what is the aim of these hoax death announcements? I avoid twitter and am quite wary of facebook anyway, but it's abit odd.

I have a twitter account but never use it because of these weirdo's, makes no sense to me either...why? my FB account only has family and friends (people I've met/know) except two trustworthy ABers for the very same reason.

I can see the point of doing something slightly 'naughty' in real life and cyber space - a harmless ribbing or wind-up among friends.

But what is the point of declaring someone dead? Where is the 'fun' in that? Weirdoes/weirdos - (how is weird-o actually spelled?)

It's just a f8ckwit with a power trip. They post Morgan Freeman's dead and in about 10 mins they've effectively commanded about 35,000 people to write something in commiseration. Power trip pure and simple. Weirdos.

And people (and fans) think the worst - only to realise that it means Really Important Person. I don't know why the powers-that-be at Twitter Towers don't come down hard on these halfwits. It must be really distressing for any family members...
