Haha! I spotted a posh paella ready meal earlier dated today and asked if they were going to reduce it and they let me have it for 78p! Down from nearly £4 so I'm a happy me :)

Dee you can buy 10 x 1kg bags of rice from Tesco (their own brand) for a total of £4......40p per bag. Just thought I'd let you know before you bought it!

vodka: there's rice and there's rice. I wouldn't waste money on Tesco rice at 40p a kilo - it'll be the poorest quality available.

Probably...I wouldn't buy it either, it's probably a kilo of dust! I was just pointing out there are cheaper options if price is a concern. I don't know how good Lidl rice is so maybe it was unfair of me to mention it!

vodka & coke thanks for the tip , didnt buy in Lidl will try Tesco, usually I go to Asian supermarket to see whats on offer, eat a lorra rice in this house.
