mold stain in clothes
6 Answers
My baby spilled some food on her shirt and I did not wash it right away. Now that it has been washed the food has left a mold stain on the shirt. Any suggestions for how to wash out the mold stain?

The shirt was almost new and I did not want to throw it away. I then decided to use the Mold and Mildew remover and washed it in very hot water. It did vade the shirt a little but it looks much better. I then washed it again in Vanish and it looks and smells great again. My mother-in-law suggested washing the shirt like normal and laying it in the sun to dry. Believe it or not but that really works too. Unfortunately the week that I needed to clean the shirt it rained a lot. Thanks again for all your answers!
When brushing clothes to remove dust and lint, you'll get better results if you brush with the nap rather than against it. For killing mold with bleach use a ratio of one cup of bleach per gallon of water and apply the solution to non-porous surfaces with mold growth either by using a spray bottle or by using a bucket and a sponge or cloth.
