Downton should have stopped after one series. Series 2 was absurd. Series 3 is already dull. What do you think?

A lot of them seem to overact especially after they get a title. Sir Ian McKellen, Sir John Gielgood, Simon Callow CBE, Dame Edith Ashcroft for a start. They are undoubtedly good actors but they do ham it up do they not?
You have to put it in context: A period drama set just after the Edwardian era in the days when 'nobs ruled okay', and peasants merely tugged the forelock and were extremely grateful for any morsel thrown their way.

That sums it up - nuff said?
I loved it, though I think the dialogue was a little to modern for the period, the cook was speaking as though she was in an episode of Friends. I'm sure someone said, 'there you go then'.
It is ab fab, and I would act like Maggie Smith if I were talking to you lot!! I find Shirley McClane's head slightly too big for her shoulders, she looked strange, don't think I'll like her in it.
I loved it. I think that Shirley MacLaine is fantastic, but can't wait to see Maggie Smith get the better of her. So what if it isn't historically correct? I'm watching it for the entertainment value, not its historical value. Hands off Downton!!!
