Hi
I have just bought the Dyson DC33 upright hoover from Amazon. Unfortunately I had to send it back because of the noise, it was making a loud screeching noise above the usual hoover sound (I have tinnitus & even with earplugs it left my ears ringing!!) I love the cleaning power though so does anyone have a quieter model? I know there is a pull along type one but I really prefer the upright style.
Thanks

my animal cylinder model is ok. why not wear ear plugs and just enjoy the fact that they clean like no other hoover? i have 3 cats so this model is perfect for me. ive had it for three weeks and can't stop playing with it because it's so great!!! x
Miele do an excellent cat and dog model, it is relatively quiet but although I know they do upright models I'm not sure if they do an upright version.
There is always one clever clogs, but hoover has been absorbed in to the English language for some time:

It's the mark of success isn't it, of a product ,when that product has become so popular that people state that they are 'hoovering' when what they are doing is vaccuming
