I had a Galaxy phone for Christmas and am still struggling with it. I have trouble hitting the right keys on texting or making calls as I find the keypad a bit small and arthritic fingers don't always do what they should. Today I learned you can get a pointer thingy to tap the keys with. Any idea what it is called?
Thanks for any help.
I have just got a galaxy too and I hate the keypad! I have gone on 'Google Play' and downloaded another keypad to use! Try Smart Keyboard or Swiftkey 3 (both free) ...... so much easier to use!
I had touch phone can't remember what it was called, and the thingy was slotted in the base of the phone. Ended up not using the phone, too much hassle.
I have a Galaxy GT and am getting used to it. The keypad is activated by the moisture in the tip of your fingers. I've just tried mine with a rubber tipped pencil and nothing happens.
Turn the phone sideways on. That makes the letters a bit bigger.
just in case....do you turn the phone to it's side in order to type with both thumbs? the letters are bigger and it's a damn site easier to text this way round....i think you have to go into settings/display/auto rotate screen and tick the box. that might help x
Tried the rubber pencil thing - no good. I have actually ordered 2 packs of 2, 1 pink and 1 black, £1.29 each pack. Look forward to getting them.
Thanks for all info folks.
I've got a phone with lovely big numerals on - I can't miss them and there is a mechanical voice which repeats the numbers as I hit them so if I make a mistake I know right away. My eyesight has not gone yet but is getting worse so I find it very useful. Don't know what it is called but it says on the top (in very small letters which I can hardly see) TT fone (I think).
