Ditto Jeza. We don't know half of what goes on behind the scenes and quite frankly I don't want to.
At least in an undertakers they can't hurt their customers. It's images of abuse in care homes that are really hard to stomach.
I haven't watched this it is too dismal and I am too old, but I hope I get treated with more dignity than that jeza. I know I won't know anything about it but it still seems wrong.

I remember a case where a woman went to he doctor with a problem down below, he asked where her husband worked. It turned out he was F ing the bodies in the mortuary and she had got an infection from this.
I watched the other one called "Dead good job" Found it very interesting and very moving. Loved the idea of a cardboard coffin inside a wooden one, After coffin has gone through the curtains the wooden one is taken away and the cardboard one is used for the cremation, saving a lot of money and no one is the wiser.
Yes, carandrog, I agree with you. Seems an awful waste of money and trees to burn so much wood. I know cardboard is made out of trees as well, but I would think a lot less tree would go into the making of cardboard.
Many cardboard coffins are made from recycled material.

Some people choose not to hide the cardboard coffin but to personalise it with paint, stickers, posters, photos. I have seen such coffins painted green with daisies; painted blue with cars; painted in the colours of a football team; stuck all over with beer mats; stuck on horse designs; covered with signatures. The sky is the limit.

They can be as plain or as personal as you like. Dignified or outrageous.

I think they are perfect for the job and hope they become more popular.
Wish I hadn't read that Jeza.
Ugh I wish I hadn't read this post :( the thought of what could happen in a mortuary really upsets me.
I really like the dead good job program, bit sad but very interesting.
Disgusting that some peeps abuse their jobs like that Jeza. I hope the wife dobbed him in & divorced the pleb
Nice idea carandrog about the cardboard coffin as long as that's all the grieving relatives pay for
I watched this programme - upsetting, degrading, dispicable and totally unacceptable behaviour.

SandyRoe - I agree with you - the photos of my Mum's abuse haunts me.
Watched the other one and totally disgusted. Clothes brought in to dress the deceased, unless the family are going to view the body the clothes are stuffed in the coffin still in the plastic bags. Bodies left out to decompose so much so everyone complains about the smell.
I didn't see the programme - someone told me about it

What did the owners have to say about their behaviour ?
