Not sure if I'm in the correct section.

Am I the only one who thinks that the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy was a load of old codswollop?

I gave up reading it in the end.

Thank goodness I didn't buy it, although I read excerpts from it. The excerpts were so badly written and so much a load of old codswollop that it made me decide not to bother.

I did read it when it first came out - long before all the mass hysteria surrounding the book happened. I thought it was the biggest load of garbage I ever read in my life. The main character is a creep (I don't care how rich a d handsome he is) and the girl in the story is so stupid even I wanted to slap her! No story whatsoever, appalling dialogue - it reads as though it was written by a silly 14 year old with a vivid imagination. I got it free, and I STILL thought it was a waste of money!
