Squeaky MG

I have a 2 year old MR ZR - and the rear spolier has just started making a squeaking / creaking noise. Its driving me mad - it makes the car sound as though its about to fall apart. The only time it doesn't make this noise is if its been raining or I've been to the car wash. Has anyone else got this problem or knows how to fix it ?

If it doesnt creak when wet it could be that the water is lubricating the gap between the spoiler and the bootlid. You could try spraying some WD40 in the gap but wipe off any you get on the painwork as it is liable to stain.If this doesn't work you might have to tighten the bolts holding the spoiler but I would guess this would involve taking out some trim in the boot which might cause another rattle.

take it off,smear bolts in copper slip then reinstall, mine did that too and its squeeky free now
