Victoria's Secret has been criticised over their Geisha collection.

http://www.vogue.co.u...gn=Outbrain%VogueNews

Is it a tribute to a beautiful race and culture? Or is it, as suggested, "racialised fetishising against Asian women"?

Were they wrong to use the expression "sexy little fantasy"? Isn't that what we all need sometimes?

Will the AB resident lingerie consultant (sqad) have the answer?

Well, on that theme, sort of ...

I bought my BF a load of stuff from Hugo Boss, including some undies ...

... and someone told me that some people would still not wear HB gear, because Hugo Boss apparently designed the uniforms for the SS, or something like that.

Is that right?
jawohl

Though he claimed in a 1934/1935 advertising that he had been a "supplier for Nazi uniforms since 1924", such supplies are probable since 1928/1929 and certain since 1934, when he became an Reichszeugmeisterei-licensed (official) supplier of uniforms to the Sturmabteilung, Schutzstaffel, Hitler Youth, National Socialist Motor Corps, and other party organizations. To meet demand in later years of the war, Boss used about 30 to 40 prisoners of war and about 150 forced laborers, from the Baltic States, Belgium, France, Italy, Austria, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and the Soviet Union. According to German historian Henning Kober, the company managers were "avowed nazis", "the Boss were all great admirers of Adolf Hitler", and Hugo Boss had in 1945 in his apartment a photograph of himself with Hitler taken in the latter's Obersalzberg retreat.

Ooh, I might get that book. It looks interesting.

But Herbert von Karajan was also a member, I thought, and we still buy his CDs.
The Pope was too, I believe, certainly of the Youth......so Catholics out there, you had better swap "sides".
there's a difference between being a member (which vast numbers of otherwise harmless Germans were) and using slave labour to make things for the party.
none of it straightforward really. I think the objection to Boss, over say Karajan, is the forced labour issue. Ratzinger, on the other hand dt, has arguably jusy swopped one form of extreme authoritarianism for another

Perhaps he wore ladies' underwear to compensate for one of his tescicles being in the Albert Hall?

How are we doing so badly in the Ryder Cup?

Did G-Mac win yesterday?

I am willing to be his sex slave, but not if he's going to play like a dick.
