Can't remember what the others are called someting like fizz bombs I think.
no but then we had other sweeties to concentrate our minds and pennies.
I remember the drops on the left and I think you can still get them. The penny sweets I used to get when I was a kid were cola cubes, pear drops, aniseed balls, cola bottles wich were sour and milk bottles. This was late '70s, early '80s. They were probably around before.
Question Author
Yes I remember all them Tigger.
Oh yes, I think the coloured sweets are fruit or sherbet pips. We ate them in class at school 'cos they were so small the teacher couldn't tell you were eating....until you dropped them and they bounced all over the floor. :)
Robinia, thank you!! I've been scratching my head trying to think of their name!
(Got splinters now)
I fondly remember penny caramels and flying saucers.

We used yo get PK chewing gum out of a machine and if the turning handle's arrow was facing forward, you got an extra packet. Now who else can remember that?
Aniseed balls, and gobstoppers!
There used to be a HUGE advertising board for Five Boys Chocolate. For some reason it terrified me!
Question Author
I don't think these sweet machines would last long nowadays before they got broken into.
