any ideas for my auntie, shes 83, pretty fit and active, lives in a lovely bungalow and isnt short of money. she is a spinster and spent most of her working life in the army, so isnt a flowery chocs and perfume type of person.i end up buying the same things every year, jumper, soaps, writing sets. i'd love to get her something really different, that she'd enjoy, as she is a lovely person and very generous with all the family, always ready to help out in a crisis. any ideas gratefully accepted. thanks

what about a trip to the theatre, a panto with yourself or a play in London gifts are material really but memories last and a day out with company could mean a lot if one is on there own most of the time and a meal out could just be the answer or as I say a theatre visit ? what do you think.
Buy her a theatre gift voucher from WH SMITH ( other places sell them too but not sure where)They can be used at 100's of theatres all over the country. My brother is really hard to buy for but loves the theatre, opera etc, so that is what i am giving him for Christmas.
Buy a goat, sponser a donkey ...
Hi, go on e bay and type in frame-day you were born. Ive just got one of these as a present and its lovely. good luck in your search
Does she like her garden? I think a sundial is a lovely gift (from most garden centres)
This may sound a bit weird but what about a small tool kit or a swiss army knife type thing (they do a very wide range for all types of things). She sounds like a resourseful type of women and things like that are always handy to have around. Its practical and recognises her as an independent person.
