Checking in online
Flying with Ryanair to Finland and have to do online check in up to fourteen days before. Daft question I know, but do I have to do the return journey at the same time, or would it make sense to wait till nearer the time to check in for the return?

So long as both outward and return flights are within the 14-day limit you should be okay to do both at the same time. The problem with Ryanair is if the flights are more than 14 days apart. If you don't have online access whilst you are abroad, and therefore can't check in online for the return flight, they charge an exorbitant fee for checking in at the airport. I agree with diddlydo.
Just read of another problem with Ryanair. Do make sure boarding passes that you print have a bar code on them. It seems Ryanair have changed their system, and some browsers are no longer compatible. They only print parts of the pass, excluding the bar code. Such passes would be invalid, and you would be charged as though you were checking in at the airport.
