Last night there was an ad for the best of ELO. Today, called in to see aged parents who were watching Doctors and twice in the prog the strains of "Wild West Hero" were heard, spooky or a bit cynical?

Seriously, I have the ELO UFO album all wrapped up safe, never played, never opened and it is on coloured vinyl. Limited edition promotional copy. It is the only record of value that I have. Excuse me for a moment....Which Charity shop? When? Just because it was never played didn't mean I didn't want to keep it!!....Sorry back again, must go now, mrs cook needs to get my foot off her neck.
@jno. Sorry, I didn't realise that you thought it was an advert per se. It was heard twice at two different points in the show. The same guy was listening to it. He was portrayed as a workshy 40 something living at home with his mum. I just thought it weird that the day before a 'New' best of was being released and plugged on commercial networks.
I'm sure the advertising sales department must contact advertisers and offer them a space when there is something relevant in a programme - its too much of a coincidence sometimes when products are advertised right after something has been shown or mentioned. Not necessarily the actual product but something relevant to it. For instance the programmes with dogs in and then there are several adverts for dog food or dog charities.
