This is our lane outside my front door 5 minutes ago. It has got worse since taking the photo. It's horrendous. The noise from the hailstones and the thunder is dreadful. The poor cat is terrified. So am I ..... goes to hide under a cushion.

You'll be fine, it will be gone as quick as it came.

I know Tony but I hate it:-(
Where is that then Horseshoes? Few months ago we had one in the midlands hailstones the size of golfballs and damaged roofs and windscreens. We have just had a lovely rainbow.
I know what you mean, it's the noise isn't it.
Where in the country is that horseshoes? Been sunny and windy in my neck of the woods today (NW). Going a tad cloudy now.
The forecaster said there would be heavy rain and thunder along the south coast. Can't wait ;)

North Wales. The hailstones aren't thawing either! The lane is like a torrent of water and my poor garden at the back is like a lake! I'm keeping an eye on the drain as the water runs fromthe fields opposite us and has been known to come in. I'll put some towels against the door I think, just in case.
Blimey, the weather's gone mad. It's getting darker here as I type - think we're in for it now !
Great photo horseshoes, I hope its over now though.
Rain in N Wales?

That will just be morning mist then, horseshoes ;)

LOL ttfn. It's starting again now. I can hear the thunder.
Cool but bright sunshine in West London....
I hope it soon tires itself out for you. Imminent thunder storms always give me an upset tummy. No fun, is it?
we had some of that a while back, summer time hailstones, not good.
Must have been shifting (Or a BIG storm), horseshoes. My Nephew reported it hammering down in Yeovil, about 20 minutes after you did.
Been quite sunny in Manchester if a bit cold and windy. Some darker clouds gathering now though.

Scrap the sunshine, Manchester's gone a bit monsoon like!

Oh dear Jenna, it was obviously travelling your way. That's an interesting weather page Hopkirk. You can see the bad weather is right over us and right at the bottom of the uk too - probably hitting Yeovil!
