No prescription again

Went for my 25th cycle of chemo today,only to be told this time by the consultant himself . had not done the prescription, and to come back in 2 weeks.I am now in a lot of discomfort when sitting

That is dreadful, how on earth can they not have done it.

Owd I am once again shocked to read this, surely if your bloods were ok to proceed with Chemo today then they could have put the order in there and then, this happens to all who have a made to measure Chemotherapy rather than those in stock. Baxter Healthcare are only a few miles away and delivery constantly through the day.

You really must get someone to make contact and see what is happening here. It just isn't right - I do know sometimes you are sent away if your bloods are not up to it but this sounds all wrong, get some advice - indeed see if your GP can get some info from them.

Don't take this sitting down! (Sorry, owd). This is dreadful, speak to your GP tomorrow and get them to ring the Hospital and expedite the chemo - 2 weeks' wait is not on. Good luck.

I am apparently doing christies a disservice, Mrs Owd has reminded me we are waiting for the results of a scan i had last friday. My gp was involved early in the new year, when he seemed to provoke a positive reaction.

Well I am relieved to hear that a place I have always regarded as a seat of excellence in what they do has not let you down,however still hope you get sorted very soon and not have to wait 2 more weeks in discomfort or pain.

Jumbo i go every 2 weeks, some poor buggers go every day,a woman we were talking to had been going every 2 vweeks for 3 years,i started july 2011,the place is hectic, but unless it is foeward planning i cannot work out why the doc could not allow treatment today.He did ask an lot of questions,re, lifestyle fatigue etc
