On Radio5 today there was a feature about parents who try to persuade their children to dump their other halfs.

They interviewed some sort of relationships expert.

They asked her ... Parents trying to get rid of their children's other halfs ... does this happen much in reality?

Her answer ... wait for it ... this was painful ...

"Well, yes, I mean just look at Downton Abbey this weekend ... !"

I just love 'experts', my favourite I saw on TV being an ' African Piracy Expert'- I was just longing for some Chav to go and sign on and tell 'em that was the job he was looking for.

But imagine the joy when the field in which you are an expert suddenly becomes newsworthy!

I suppose the answer is to register your "expertise" with the BBC News dept, and then sit back and wait.
