When I considered teaching as a career I had to get CRB clearance just to work with a couple of students for an hour a week even though there was always another teacher in the room overseeing what was happening, and things have been tightened further, so I think the answer is yes- but the employer will know
Yes you need an enhanced CRB check to work in a school during term time.
I work as a kitchen porter ,a few weeks back I was working at a school , I was the only one my agency could send as I have an enhanced CRB check. I was not even allowed to go out of the kitchen area but I still needed an an enhanced CRB check.
If you get the job your employer has to apply for your CRB check and you can't start work until you have it.
You need a CRB check to work in a school regardless of how long you are around children - indeed even if you work late evenings, there are still ASC and school discos to consider where children will be present

Are you not going to pass yours then?
I worked for the council for the last 3 years of my working life and had to visit schools.
Often I had to go in for about 20 minutes at the most and I was generally with the head teacher or the secretary.
There was panic when they realised after about 2 years I had not been CRB checked.
