well we used to but they moved back onto Kendal and Windermere in 68 - they then opened those massive quarries that used to back onto the M6 and I think (vaguely I must say), those were ARC.

Personally, I would rather be further up, say the Cotswolds or Wiltshire...but then there is family and the mater has Alzheimers (she originates from down here and the parents had an 'agreement' about spending the 2nd half of their lives in Cornwall, he loved it but didn't get too much time to enjoy it).

It could have been RMC and am now thinking they were.........the family pit was the other side - went to primary school in Bolton-Le-Sands, right next to the canal on the then A6 before it moved up to the centre of Nether Kellett

Brilliant sunshine in E/Kent, had a couple of hours walk along the cliffs earlier with OH and the dogs, Channel looked like a millpond, and it was so clear France appeared to have moved closer overnight.
Hopefully that's just an illusion!
