hi!..Ihave an LG tv and its remote. Up to now have had channels 1-33 with a few missing and knew that there were more I could obtain.... like food channel 48 etc.. according to the promo adverts, I simply needed to retune to these channels, so I pressed menu on the remote and went to auto tune thinking this would automatically incorporate these new channels...upshot is, I have now lost all the BBC's AND all the ITV's and most channels inbetween! I now have the food channel, E4+1 and a acouple of porno channels...help! Usually keep all instruction ooks for stufff, ut, typically can't find the LG book...can anyone help please? A friend has said i should have rescanned rather than retuned, but can't find a rescan or similar anywhere on my remote's menu and am now scared to try anything further...thanks for any advice...the padster

I think you will have to go back as if you were tuning for the very first time, like when the digital programmes started, everyone had to retune their TVs. You should be able to go on remote control and press 'menu' and then go from there. On samsung, you have to find 'plug and play' from the menu, other makes may show 'initial set up'. Good luck.
thanks ladybird and pussycat, but no joy with either! God, I could spit! Think I'll have to get an engineer..unless an LG PERSON IS HERE... with ladybirds, it says make sure ox is on ad go to channel 80.... I don't have box and remote will not go to 80... with you pussycat, have tried the auto tune as if starting again, but stays the same I'm afraid, as thats what got me into this mess! Thanks so much for your time... the padster
The model number will be somewhere on the TV. Mine is on the back.
There is a phone number and an email addy on here but phones not manned now. Have a look and see if there's any help here for you.

Your TV requires a minimum signal strength before it will 'lock onto' any particular channel (or, more accurately, onto a group of channels - because channels are transmitted in bundles, called 'multiplexes'). Signal strengths at your aerial don't remain constant. (They're affected by atmospheric pressure, weather conditions, solar flares, the 11-year sunspot cycle, interference from electrical devices and lots of other things). The signal strengths for the (groups of) channels which you're seeking are currently insufficient for the TV's needs.
Solution:
Go to any large supermarket. Buy a signal booster (for under a tenner). Install it and retune your TV again.
