Film featuring a creepy version of ' Charlie is my darling '?

Was the above song used in a horror film or tv show where it was sung in a really slow sinister sounding way? I can visualise a male character repeating the chorus but kind of spitting out the last part of ' darling', the scene is very dark and I think the man is insane and trying to kill someone.

I know this is incredibly vague and there's a possibility I'm getting this song confused with something else, or even clumping together a few things I've seen ; but if anybody has any clues for me I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Thank you , BIGJACK. That's not jogging my - admittedly cloudy - memory though. I'm picturing more of a Jack Nicolson in The Shining type character.

The other possibility , of course , is that I've imagined the
whole thing : )

Would The Night Of The Hunter be a possibility? Robert Mitchum is very creepy in that and I could check it out later if necessary.

I've just checked out The Night Of The Hunter and that song doesn't feature in it, although he does sing some hymns whilst stalking the children.
