Shy? Not at all....I talk to everyone....I can take an assembly or give a talk for charity, usually with humour but I can be deadly serious if it matters.
Passionate? God yes. Why else be alive? I am passionate with people I care about and passionate about causes I believe in.
Stand back? No
Show my feelings? Yes....but always in control of them.
Don't worry about being nosey. I am. A two hour flight and the poor soul next to me has told me her/his life story. People like nice nosiness.

You're so right Owd. So many people are self interested and aloof. I find people like it if someone shows an interest in them. I recall a wonderful experience last year when my nosiness/interest really helped someone, quite by accident but lovely just the same. As I said....people like nice nosiness.
