Is it any wonder that peoples from these countries when they come to our shores, must find it very hard to settle down and change their culture so as to fit in with our laws and our culture?

Reference aog's link, above: David Cameron proposes a law against forced marriages. This sounds like his government's pronouncements on householders and burglars; pure hot air, because the law is already what they say.

In what way is our existing law about forced marriages inadequate? Commonly the girl is under age, so there is a conspiracy to procure an under age girl for sex, for a start, whether any intercourse takes place or not and wherever any intercourse happens. The marriage, if the girl is of age, is void for duress.. It may be that a woman or girl "married" in this way does not freely consent to sex, so that's prima facie rape. Continuing to have sex with an under age girl here is an offence. What more is needed?
