Cameron has insisted he would seize advantage of the raging euro crisis to grab back the right of the British people to rule their own country, he says demand repatriation of power over just about every issue that vexes British voters — law and order, immigration, welfare and the economy.
Brussels needs Britain to help save the whole structure, not just the single currency, from collapsing in ruins. We are in an excellent bargaining position.

blair recruited 800 000 extra civil servants when the civil service was working fine just to buy votes. We dont need such jobs a 5 a day co ordinators and the such like.
The problem arises becasue lefties in the civil service want to make a point so they fire front line services rahter than get theri snouts out the trough and alos reduce the bloated management structure.

Yes I read an article by David Aaronivitch - who is a reasonably honest customer - rubbishing the whole Cameron strategy. It's absolutely brilliant in theory (if you are that way inclined) but takes no account whatever of the wishes or plans of the other EU members and is therefore doomed.

The fact that he is promising the undeliverable after the next election means he has already conceded the Conservatives will not win it.
UKiP will more likely harm the Conservatives at the election. The LibDems vote will evaporate and benefit Labour. After next months by-election, we will see mass LibDem defections to Labour.
