Finished it but can't see rationale of many clues. Why is key clue 25d (Racer, perhaps, briefly exposed following its profile) snake? Ditto 19a (too long to type out) odd job man. 3d sangria but why? Did Michael Jackson made a record called bad? 1970s group called yell?

6d was explained to me elsewhere

Some pretty bloody feeble clueing if you ask me, especially 25d. Still don't see relevance of racer. Unimpressed by 19a. Not a great pop fan so ELP mystery to me.
On your way, Tramp.
Isn't there some expression about a 'racing snake'.
I'm struggling with this crossword. Haven't asked for any help yet but I will soon.
A racer is a type of snake according to my book
