hi factor30, i'm doing a crossword and the question was "all the same" 4&2 and giving some of the letters i already have e-e-, s- the only answer i can see that would fit is "ever so" am i right? thank you in advance.

Yes, I agree with factor, we need a context with examples.
Thinking of one example, for example:
"ever so big" cannot be substituted by "all the same big" can it?

This is a crossword clue from PMU magazine. It's probably always better to mention it's from a crossword and give the exact clues and letters
Could be the same in West Indian patois, but not in regular English
Even so means All the same
Either of these expressions could go at the end of a sentence in the following context:
Lady: I just backed my boyfriend's car into a tree.
Friend: Don't worry, he loves you even so.
or: Don't worry, he loves you all the same.
