my wife and i are planning for a baby and we would relly like a boy as we have got 3 girls already, is there anything we can do such has food,lifestyle and things that could give us a chance or is it just an old wikes tale?

I think I remember from Biology that male sperm swim faster, but die more quickly than female sperm who swim slower but live longer. The theory then follows that if you want a boy you should have sex when your wife is at the end of her fertile time of the month - ie when her egg is at the uterus end of the fallopian tube - so it will be reached by those zippy male sperm first. Galthorne summed it up. If your wife has very regular periods and is in tune with her cycle she might be able to time this.

If I recall leaving 24 hours between each ejaculation is meant to increased your chances.

Myth is that doggy style also helps those swimming boy sperm, sounds unlikely to me but it's fun anyway.

Nothing can help pre-determine the sex of your baby before pregnancy. The best you can do for your kids is to love them for who they are.

I come from an Asian family of four girls. My parents still loves us the best way they can despite what other people we know say about how our family is (boy-less). And I dare say they are a great couple. That's why I'm aiming for a grandson for them. =)

Did you know that when a woman orgasms her cervix makes a kind of dip and grab movement, so if you orgasm before your wife she stands a chance of moving more sperm towards the uterous. Not that that would have anything to do with the sex, more the chance of getting pregnant.

I thoroughly agee, and have heard about the other theory and tried it. It didn't work for me but I wouldn't change a thing!

we had two boys so when trying for a third followed all the rules about timing and diet.The result...another boy. I think its just luck.
