Was the real jump just an advert for the latest Bond film?

That was hilarious
did the real jump go ahead, as wanted to find out if he survived.

It certainly did, em10, and was shown live on BBC News as well as several internet streams. For a time it looked like he might spin out of control during the freefall but had the experience to control it. He landed on his 2 feet, without falling over.
didn't see much tv in the last few days, will do a search later, i know that it was supposed to have taken him all of ten minutes to land, doing over 700mph, the mind just boggles..

H's supposed to have reached over 800 mph - is that terminal velocity for a human body? wonder if there were any heating problems from air friction, or shock from breaking sound barrier?

This presumably wouldn't be any use for astronauts - if they jumped from a space station, they'd be doing about 18000 mph, and would have serious heat problems!
It was heartstopping watching it happening live. So glad he made it. Didnt want to watch something awful happen
Lol! :-))
Brilliant, love it to bits. Lego is the best toy ever and that is official. Have you any more clips like this?
