iPad won't charge.

As above really, plugging charger in and the charge icon comes on and then goes off, have tried a different charger as well, any ideas welcome. Thanks.

Me too. I'm still finding that it does stuff that makes me go WOOOOWW!!! only to find out it's one of it's most basic functions that everybody already knew about.

Ha, you sound like me. I had my car for 2 years before I realised I could use bluetooth through it and use the phone handsfree!

The charger will charge daughters iPhone and I discovered last night that her charger will charge the iPad, have ordered a new charger so will wait and see what happens when that comes. Yes, everything was checked, plug fine, socket on etc.

why not just swap chargers ?

I have heard rumours of people having problems using an charger that came with Iphone to charge iPads. Never had a problem myself though.

Because I charge the iPad overnight and her charger seems to get really hot, hers has a different plug to mine, and I don't fancy leaving it overnight.
