That only explains how[i it was done, not [i]why]. I have never heard of this either and would be interested to know why it has to be done.
One of my dogs has a collar, we live on the coast, they swim in the sea, collar gets very salty, needs a wash, the other one wears a chain so just a quick rub down now and again.
Just so, Baldric. I think the Atlantic must be super salty.
