Hi chuck. You helped me a while ago with my sons Sony Viao so here goes that you can help again. My son bought a Dell XPS15, Model : L502X in June this year. 3 weeks ago his Hard Disk corrupted and a Dell engineer came to his flat and replaced it. He was lucky that all his Uni stuff had been backed up on their systems, but he lost all his personal material as the disc was so badly damaged that nothing could be retrieved.
Today he phoned to inform me that his keyboard was no longer functioning, so Dell have arranged for an engineer to call tomorrow to replace the keyboard and also the motherboard.
Do you or anyone else know of any problems with this particular model or is it just bad luck and any suggestions as to what course of action he should take would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance to everyone who gives advice and/or assistance.

Sounds like a strange call out to me... they generally wouldn't replace both the keyboard and motherboard.

But... I'd say, just bad luck, from a (very) quick search I can't see any really common problems with that model.
