Agreed it's a tradition but I understand its roots are actually Pagan rather than Christian. The elusive "PC brigade" might have decided that they would prefer to have more inclusive Winter Celebrations instead of Christmas ones, but I'm not aware of the so-called PC brigade imposing that naming convention on others. I think it's been overhyped. I'm aware of celebrations being called Winter Celebrations and lights being called Festive lights etc. but so what? Has anyone at all been banned from using the word Christmas to describe a Christmas celebration?
