Okay, I know I should go to my G.P. to ask this question, and I am going next week but I just want to do a bit of self diagnosis first.. For the past year, I've had my period like this; two weeks free, then period for a week, then two weeks free, then period for a week and so on. I feel like I'm constantly on my period Is this just the way my cycle is, or could there be an undelying problem causing my periods to come so often and last so long? Before that, during college this happened for about a year and then regulated but it's come back now. Just wondering could it be a sign of something wrong.

If you are using a coil, implant or injection as birth control it might be because of that.
I will presume that you are not on the contraceptive pill and that you do not have any pain or bleeding after intercourse, in which this sounds like dysfunctional uterine bleeding (Google it)

No big deal.

Cool stuff, cheers!
so every 3 weeks really. You have a 21 day cycle which can happen, you may have a short luteal phase. Not everyone has a 28 day cycle
