winter warmer

just discovered a new way to keep warm this winter, chocolate chip muffins wamed in the oven, and only 25p for 4 in tescos, bargain or what!

no i just ate 2 warm from the oven and they're fab, can't believe the offer price, they're from the frozen food chiller but just need 60mins defrost then warming in oven, excellent

Gosh I bet its a killer having to wait 60 mins for them to defrost :)

well they were in the car for about 40 minutes before i got home and so it hasn't been too much of a toment lol

The winter warming foods I remember as a kid are toast done on the open fire with lashings of butter and home made jam and jacket potatoes and roast chestnuts done in the ash pan under the fire.

I buy ginger cake or ginger buns and warm them with a bit of treacle on then pour warm custard. Yum.

How about putting them in the microwavefor 10 seconds instead of lighting the oven? Winter warmers at a fraction of the cost.

ooo no i couldn't zap them unless it said so on the packet, i'm not a very good cook at the best of times

Try one I dare you! It'll be fine and it saves waiting for them in the oven.

Do them one at a time and just 10 seconds each. If they don't feel quite warm enough after 10 seconds give another few seconds but don't over cook.

I'm a hopeless cook too, but I do this to scones and they are lovely when warmed this way. Quick and cheap.

well, truth be told i have eaten all 4 choc chip ones, but never fear, i bought a 4 pack of the blueberry ones too! they were 25p for 4 too, they're a good size aswell and so it's a great offer, might try a blueberry one for breakfast
