When he was in power the Government was labelled "uncaring" but it didn't matter has they hade a very large majority, so Tebbit ignored it.
Poor Dave couldn't win for the Conservatives and has no majority. So any unflattering label, if it sticks, is going to be damaging.
The Chingford Polecat was another unflattering label, but it hasn't done him any harm.
