I`ve just been cooking in the kitchen and listening to a DAB radio in there. Someone phoned (phone`s in the living room) and every time it rang, it severely affected the reception on the radio. Why would that be?

If you have cordless phones it may be that the radio frequency is similar, but my dab radio loses signal if I start the microwave, so it appears that it doesn't take much for dab to fade away.

Thanks for the replies. I did think it might be something to do with frequencies. Seems strange though and it`s never happened before. It must have just been that one channel. DAB`s ok if you live in the right area. If you live in a hilly, rural area like my mum did, you`re stuffed though. I bought her a DAB radio and all she could get was Radio 2 and that was only in one room and upstairs.
