On my central heating boiler is a clock with little pegs round the edge. When they are pushed towards the centre does that mean the radiators should be on?
I woke up to a hot house and worked out that the pegs for this time of day are out (rather than in). Thanks in advance for your help.
I used to have one many years ago and I'm pretty sure IN was ON. I would check that your timer is showing the correct time, they sometimes got disrupted by power cuts.
thanks ratty. I did check all that. It has been on the clock symbol all summer and turned thermostat down to about 16 degrees, so was really surprised to wake up so hot this morning as it is only supposed to come on in the evening! I will monitor it for today and then call gas man if it is still wrong!
You might have it set to continuous - in which case the clock settings are irrelevant. But I think it would have come on before now if that were the case
I don`t know what boiler you have but mine`s a Vaillant with that type of clock and the pegs are definitely pushed OUT to switch it on when it`s on timer.
