Northampton police have posted about ghosts ghoules and spooks on facebook regarding Haloween and have been accused of being racist.

They have now removed the post and issued an apology and reworded the post.

What is racist about that?

//I can't believe the police pandered to them.//

That's the real problem - that the police actually took notice of them. Ridiculous!

On behalf of all Ghouls, I wish to complain....
Kiki, that was gooks not spooks.
Was it? OK, fair enough. I'm still sure it's an American term, tho.

Been trying to find out and came across a racist terms database on t'internet. Someone has evidently got a lot of time on their hands. But I quite like the idea of being a crumpet-sucker!

How ridiculous!
Yep kiki, American.
I need a live updating dictionary of words that are racist or offend people.
Did not know spook was a slang word for a black person.
Need to brush up on my USA gang slang I guess.
