Red patchy skin

On my nose/cheek (both sides) there is a patch of red rough skin and ive had it for years and cant seem to get rid of it, ive tried using exfoliating wash but it isnt goin, how can i get rid of it and have normal smooth skin?

If it's red and rough then exfoliation might make things worse if you could be aggravating it.

Is it painful or anything like that? If it could be something like a skin condition then it is worth showing your GP to see what they think as there may be better treatments they can suggest. A pharmacist might also be able to advise in the first instance.

Gentle might be better. Is it dry? If so, something like aqueous cream might help.

Skin doesn't seem quite to able to bounce back as you get older though (if I remember right from previous questions, you're quite young aren't you?). Was there any damage there initially which set it off?

Yeah im 16 and its not painful at all just really dry and flaky
