Hi. I keep getting loads of spam texts, phone calls and emails regarding miss-sold PPI that I am apparently owed and it got me thinking (also Watchdog tonight). I took out a Lloyds TSB Platinum credit card in about 2004 which i still use. How do I know if I am paying PPI? I am not even interested in claiming it back, just would like to know if I have it. thanks guys.

It would appear as a transaction?
The monthly premium would appear on your credit card statement each month.
Reclaiming your own PPI is very easy if you want to do it, so DONOT use a claims company, they will take 30% of the cash as a fee.
All you have to do is write to the company you had the loan/card with and ask them if you have had any PPIs and if so you want to reclaim it. They have to do all the work and tell you if have a claim and then repay it.
By the way ALL ppi claim companies charge a fee but they try to diguise by say things like ' No up front fees' they just take the cash off what you get back. Not bad for writing a letter.

thanks for the answers. it seems i don't have it. the statement makes a few references to PPI, but has no cash amount that I can see.

EDDIE51 - a good point. i think it's a bigger con than the original selling of this insurance
